World Water Day 2026 - Water for Every Family

In Acul Samedi, some children can now get a drink of clean water just a short walk from home.

Others still wake up each knowing someone their family will need to take a long walk to the river to get water.

The difference between those two realities is simply whether the village water system has reached their part of the community yet.

Because of supporters like you, that change has already begun. Today one-third of families in Acul Samedi have safe water within about 200 yards of home.

But most families are still waiting.

Over the past year, donors have helped fund most of the $90,000 project that will bring clean water to the entire village.

Now just $10,000 remains.

Starting, on World Water Day, we launched a 10-day effort to finish the work. Over a period of 10 days, we can ensure that every family in Acul Samedi has safe water close to home.
