Hope for Haitians is honored to collaborate with Rotary through local clubs, district partnerships, and international grants to bring sustainable development to rural communities in northern Haiti.
Our initiatives—spanning housing, clean water, education, and economic opportunity—are made stronger through the active engagement of Rotarians at every level. We work in close coordination with the Rotary Club of Cap-Haïtien to ensure cultural relevance, local ownership, and enduring impact.
In every village we serve, Haitians lead the way. Our in-country staff, volunteer community leaders, and the doctors and nurses who support mobile clinics are all local—deeply committed to building a stronger future for their families and nation.
This grassroots approach is the foundation of our mission. It enables us to create meaningful, lasting change—steadily, sustainably, and always in partnership with the communities we serve.

Alignment with Rotary’s Causes
Providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene
We install homes with sanitation and water access, develop community wells, and provide water filtration systems—ensuring safe, clean water is available to all.
Fighting disease
Fighting disease is not just reactive—it is preventive. By improving the consistency and frequency of care, we help bring chronic health conditions under control. Regular weekly clinics and quarterly mobile clinics bring Haitian healthcare professionals into underserved communities.
Growing local economies
In Haiti our efforts are centered on overcoming the obsticals to begin productive economic activities, lack of capital and a need for training and mentoring. For example it may take only $150 for a woman to begin small business provided she has the guidence and support to manage cost, evaluate optionas and reinvest in the businees to help if grow and make it less vulnerable the challanges which abound in Haiti.
Supporting education
We help families send all their children to school through partial scholarships that bridge the gap between need and ability to pay. With specific schools, we partner on solar power systems, self-contained computer labs, and other infrastructure improvements to strengthen student learning.
