Hockey Jersey – Olympic 1980 “Miracle on Ice” Autographed by Mike Eruzione

Here’s the story for the hockey jersey: The vice president of my firm is a Boston University alumn just as Mike Eruzione is. I had purchased a jersey and asked a favor if he could get Mike to sign my jersey because I was such a huge fan of the 1980 US Olympic hockey team story and a former hockey player myself.

To my surprise, at our annual fall conference, Mike Eruzione was the guest speaker at our gathering of over 300 wealth managers. There was a meet and greet later that afternoon and as I was standing in line waiting to shake hands with the captain, our VP walked up to me gave me a bag and said “here put it on while you’re waiting in line”. It was not the original USA hockey team jersey that I bought but a replica of the captain’s jersey and Mike Eruzione signed it while I was wearing it which accounts for the two photos that are accompanying my donation.
