On the 13th of May, 2023, the Fabyan Forest Preserve in Geneva, Illinois was alive with purpose, as runners and walkers united for the 12th Annual Hope for Haitians Fun Bun Run 5k for Education. This year’s event was an outstanding success with over 170 registrants both for the on-site and virtual event. We would like to extend our gratitude to all the participants, sponsors, donors, and volunteers who made this event possible and helped raise an incredible $31,190 to support children in rural Haiti, providing them with an opportunity for education and a brighter future.

For 12 years, Hope for Haitians has been organizing the 5k for Education, dedicated to providing underprivileged children in rural Haiti with access to education. Education offers them the tools to break the cycle of poverty and create a better future for themselves and communities.

Whether you ran, walked, or cheered from the sidelines, your presence and support made a tremendous difference. Your unwavering enthusiasm and passion were contagious, creating an atmosphere of unity and shared purpose. Your commitment to the cause and your belief in the power of education have made a tangible impact on the lives of countless children in Haiti.
